Workshop on American Council on Education (ACE) Grants
January 2009, Los Angeles, Washington, DC, and Chicago
More info: http://www.npsma.org

Date: Mon, 15 Dec 2008 11:14:15 -0500
From: "Stephen Lemire"
slemire@npsma.org
Subject: American Council on Education (ACE) Grants

The National Professional Science Master's Association (NPSMA) collaborates regularly with our many partner organizations, such as the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation, the Council of Graduate Schools, the National Governor's Association, and the National Conference of State Legislators. We do this to promote broader national implementation of the PSM degree through legislation, policy, and funding.

One example of potential PSM degree funding which we have been made aware of is for veterans. The American Council on Education (ACE) has expressed interest in the PSM degree and will consider PSM degree programs aimed at veterans in competition for upcoming ACE grants.

Please note that the RFP's will not specifically mention master's or graduate programs, but we have been informed that PSM degree programs will qualify. The application will be published on January 7 with a deadline of March 31, 2009.

ACE will also host three regional meetings, for which you must register, about provisions of the Post-9/11 Veterans Educational Assistance Act of 2008:

1) January 6, 2009: Los Angeles, California
2) January 9, 2009: Washington, D.C.
3) January 14, 2009: Chicago, Illinois

Regards,

Stephen
