We invite you to consider applying to Berkeley's SUPERB Summer Research Program "Computer Science in the Interest of Society."
UC Berkeley's Department of EECS is proud to offer again the SUPERB Summer Research Program, sponsored by the NSF Research Experiences for Undergraduates Program. We are targeting high-potential juniors who have a strong interest in graduate study, and who are either socio-economically disadvantaged, low-income, first-generation college students, or have very limited access to undergraduate research in their undergraduate institution. Over half of the EECS faculty has mentored SUPERB students during the past eighteen summers. A high percentage of former SUPERB students have gone on to earn graduate degrees in either Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
SUPERB-CSIS will take place from June 9 to August 3, 2008. The deadline to apply is January 31, 2008. Students will be notified of their admissions decision by mid-March, 2008.
STUDENTS CAN FIND INFORMATION ABOUT SUPERB AND DOWNLOAD AN APPLICATION BY GOING TO THE FOLLOWING URL:
